Disability, Accessibility, & Ableism Workshop @ Brockport Downtown
Creating Workplaces & Spaces where EVERYone Can Thrive
Every workplace has the power to be more welcoming and accessible… but first, we need to understand the barriers that exist and how to address them.
Join RWN for an engaging and practical workshop that will help you see disability and accessibility through a new lens and equip you with tools to make your workplace more inclusive. 💫
Together, we’ll explore how ableism shows up in both obvious and subtle ways, the barriers it creates, and how we can reimagine our workplaces and communities so they work for all bodies and minds.
With guidance from two incredible educators, you’ll gain insight into disability as a cultural and social experience, not just a medical one—and you’ll leave with tools to put inclusion into practice.
What You’ll Learn:
-
How society and institutions often reinforce ableism, and how you can interrupt those patterns
-
What accessibility REALLY means (it’s more than having ramps!)
-
Steps you can take to create more inclusive workspaces and community spaces
-
Where to find support and resources for continuing this important work
